Harassment & Discrimination Prevention
Businesses must meet the legal requirement of taking "all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment from occurring" by ensuring that each and every employee within the company is aware of their responsibilities for preventing harassment, discrimination and retaliation in the workplace.
 
This seminar is designed to educate managers and supervisors about California and federal employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act and others. It uses an interactive, behavior-based approach.

The protected classes are discussed at length: race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, age, sex (same sex sexual harassment, sexual harassment, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation), pregnancy, disability, veteran status and marital status.

The seminar will also focus on how to prevent retaliation.

This course has met the HRCI's criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.
